that is not true at all, with running more than 20 minutes you start loosing muscle mass, that could be counterproductive on what you want, it depends on your own body. If you do interval training or fartleik, you work cardio without loosing muscle mass. Anyway, it depends on the person, I dont do any type of running/jogging cardio exercises unless breakin for about 4 years and still could run for about 40/50 minutes.
