i dunno, ive started an experiment in my training where i train as much as i can one day, then strength train at night after, then take the next day off to heal my muscles. (i might try to run on the day off and do some easy stuff like work on handbalancing)
this is because i NEED TO build up strength and stamina, i dont weight train, but i bodyweight train.
i dunno if this method works the best cause i just started it but maybe do your strength workout after you bboy and dont train the next day.
anyone else have advice?????

I have been lifting weights for awhile now and try to avoid any form of over training, so if I do some lifting then I avoid bboying that day and vice versa. What are your workout goals in general Meta?

well your body just might not be used to those certain lifts and exercises just yet, and if you don't want to be as sore you could either do less sets/reps or try using lighter weight, because you do not need to be lifting heavy if your going for fit and toned.

Meta its like Skeptic said your body is not used to the routine yet! Also, I'll add stay light weight unless you need to lose body fat! Train your body with isometrics/plyometrics, use exercises that help you to explode with speed and flexibility!!! If you need homework on these exercises just write me and I'll give you some to work on!!! Do carbs before you workout 30min-1 hour, eat protein after 30min-1hr. Carbs helps with energy, protein helps your muscles rebuild quickly! Also, stretch and deep tissue massage yourself with a foam roller, or tennis ball! Especially use the foam roller on your outer thigh and inner thigh, tennis ball on the bottom of your feet and calves! Trust me it kills, but its worth it!!!

if you're doing the heavy lifts (like bench/squats/deadlifts) that use big muscles and larger muscle groups try and keep 48 hours between workouts to let your body/muscles to rest up and develop.
that being said... bboying in itself is a workout and you're using your own body weight. so you may want to consider lifting lighter weights in the gym and supplementing things with bboying.
your body takes a while to get used to things and trust me the best way to achieve that adaption quickly and properly is getting adequate rest and eating properly.
bottom line, just keep at it haha you'll be fine.

Remember to get a good nights sleep at around 7-9 hours. I do strength training also and it helps out a lot. I'd say every three weeks, take what's called a recovery week, where you do easy cardio and light resistance training, then after that recovery week, switch up your workouts a bit. Since you're starting out the first few weeks you'll be sore, but if you're doing everything right, it'll be worth it.

if you're adding serious weight lifting to your training while still living the bboy life then you need to stretch twice as much in all the areas you're working with weight lifting
if you don't you're going to be sore and stiff whenever you try to dance and you'll lose flexibility
