-Toes always pointed up
-Never "over exert" yourself while stretching it should be a relaxed progressed stretch.
-Don't neglect to stretch your hip flexors and hamstrings

Hopefully that helped a bit

Take your time stretching. You should spend at least fifteen minutes stretching out before bboying.

A good rule of thumb for stretching is to keep progressing. A yoga instructor once put it this way "you should be between relaxed and pain. Somewhere in between is where you want to be, as far as how much to push yourself for a certain stretch. It shouldn't cause pain, but needs to be more than perfectly comfortable.

try to learn some yoga techniques, i spent years stretching (since i was 13 i just loved to stretch for some reason even though i wasnt a dancer yet). But i didnt know the details of how to stretch and when i started doing yoga i learned a lot more.

you can also do this kind of stretching, which i discovered recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehPF1r4u0eo.

Its called awareness through movement. it looks HELLA WEIRD but its good to teach your body how to move with the breath and without tension.

Dont bounce stretch! when youre in the stretchposition, stay there and hold it for 30 seconds.
When you bounce stretch you making very little rips in your muscles and that will result in a shortened muscle. so youre getting less flexible.
hold it
