Ive had this annoying problem and its been getting worse and worse. Im always hungry, I can eat a full meal and be hungry 15 minutes later. I though maybe it was hypoglycemia but Im not too sure.
If I dont eat 2 or 3 full meals within 3 hours of going to sleep I will wake up in the middle of the night starving. If I dont eat every few hours during the day I get so effing hungry I sometimes can barely walk, talk properly and I kind of feel like Im drunk.
I try to stay away from sugar because I heard this makes it worse but its hard sometimes when you dont have a car to carry shitloads of produce home in (I do try to eat lots of fresh produce) or if you get really hungry and there is nothing healthy available.
I had my thyroid tested and also my iron but they were normal. Im 26 years old so Im not growing. I also train pretty damn hard but I feel like I am even hungrier than the amount I train. I am not losing or gaining weight that I know of.
you have a high metabolisme, this means your body burns your food at a high rate,
so after 3 hours your body has used all the energy wich the food can give you and you have to eat again to get more energy.
other then that its that if your body needs something and if it doesn't get it from the food your eating the hunger feeling comes back after a while.
so if the foods you take doesn't have the propper vitamines wich ur body needs or your body doesn't get the propper energy u will get hungry again,
yeah, I'd be eating more carbohydrates if I were you. I can't practice really hard without eating something during practice that is over two hours. Even after two hours I have to have some carbs. That's what keeps you going man. Make sure you are eating proper too. You might want to eat more protein and a bit of fat at night. That will suppress your appitite, I'm the same way as you and it's pretty normal if you're working out hard. I have to eat about evey three hours just resting. These are small meals for the most part. If you get hit with a dizzy spell that is your body telling you that it needs carbs. This is the only time I find that simple carbs (refined sugar) are alright to have.
Probably just a fast metabolism, I have the same thing with always being hungry, my friend who is a nutritionist said in order to feel "full" I would have to consume roughly 5000-6000 calories a day which is ALOT of food.

whenever i have a hard warehouse job or other heavy physical labor job + am dancing/being active in my freetime i usually have to add a protein bar or shake on top of every meal + with a snack just to survive and eat 5 normal sized meals on my days off
if not then i just get sore and sluggish halfway thru the weak
hm, this is a tricky one, I had a very similar thing, could eat a lot was feeling dizzy and even couldnt see properly and talk properly... I obviously trained too hard and slept to little partied to hard... at the end I had a combination of burn out and depression... I am also 26 so I would watch out if I were you D reduce training to 4 times per week, sleep properly, dont go to each and every party and i think you will be just fine, however, I would still consult a doctor if it gets worse...
I agree w/ the higher uptake of carbs. But complex carbohydrates! stay away from simple sugars like refined white sugar and white breads, that shit will make you crash hard, and really spikes your glycemic index which is not very good for your body in the first place. Are you over training??? I used to dance 5 days a week, and it can really work against you on many levels. RECOVERY- is key. that day or three off does wonders for muscle repair etc. sometimes less is more. maybe your close to being borderline diabetic too, if your experiencing severe symptoms. get it checked now, dont play it off, hero's die early, ya know!!!
