Bboyworld & Strife.tv brings you an exclusive, and entertaining interview with Floor Gangz crew. from Seoul, Korea - 2009 interviewed by: Daniel - MisLee - Tae in the video: bboy Blanka - bboy Tinoroc - bboy Fhiz - bboy Penny How did you guys get started with Floor Gangz? Tinoroc: 5 years ago, there was something called the Yongmasan Battle. Rivers and Max crew were the main organizers and I just jumped on their boat. It basically started off from a group that wanted to study the foundation and history of bboying and our first battle was that Yongmasan battle. That was 19…no wait, 2004. So you guys have like 5 chapters, could you explain them? Blanka: We have 5 chapters: UK, China, Korea, Denmark, and USA. It is based on people who like each other, you know, we’ve been meeting each other around the world for years and having the same mentality in the dance. But for us, it was more of being friends first; like when we sit down and have fun, bboying came second. We all knew all of us had skills in different ways. So that was how it actually came to life with the different chapters. So we have Profo in USA, I am staring my in Denmark, the Chinese chapter with Motion & Ford, and the UK chapter with Mouse and Justroc. As a worldwide crew, how do you guys keep in contact? Penny: We usually contact each other online like through MSN, Facebook or Myspace. So we usually keep in touch fairly well, and also we do a lot of international calls. Mouse and Just Roc make a lot of international calls. Profo in the States, or the guys in China…we don’t find contacting each other that hard. As long as we have the opportunity, we try to meet up as much as possible. The coming up plan in an international scale is participating in Freestyle Session Japan in November. All of the members are gathering together to participate. So yea, that’s what we’re trying to do. Who’s your favorite Korean girl pop group? Blanka: I heard from Penny, there are these crew girl bands. People go mad crazy over them. But I saw that there is this group….what’s the name? Tinoroc: Kara? Blanka: Yeah, Kara! That’s the shit right there! TinoRoc: To all you Floorgangz Members abroad, we couldn’t all be here like Profo but we will always keep in touch, and try to meet up as much as possible.
