i totally agree with bronx boy about gymnastics, no corporate event promotor wants to see real bboying, floor work, top rock, hitting beats...they want street gymnasts!...we are allowing our dance to become gymnastics and that is what big competitions events and the people, including music videos want to see, big fucking moves irrelevant of the music!!! total wackness and we breeding more of these ignorant fools because we are allowing it to happen.

Doing simple indian step and non stop air flaring, windmill, nutcrackers to 1990's and pull it off as dancing with little or no footwork or top rock should be automatic disqualification ...that shit is gymnastics yo!!! these cats need to stay away from circles and compete for Olympics...real talk

First of all, doing footwork doesn't mean you are dancing. I don't know why people tend to believe that. I've seen so many people do crazy intricate footwork steps, but NONE of it is following the song being played. And guess what, NONE of them can rock a beat better than some powerheads. If we are going to hate on people not dancing, then don't just hate on the powerheads that don't listen to the music, but the footworkheads who don't listen to the music as well. Let's be fair haha.

Second: to say what we as BBOYS have done with power is gymnastics is the most ridiculous thing I may ever hear from a bboy. Sure, we stole the flare from them (as we do with other things...), but look how far we've pushed it. As bboys we should always be about creating new moves, coming up with new ideas, and trying to be individuals within the bboying context. Last time I checked, gymnasts are not very keen to change. Power will always be apart of bboying. Instead of trying to hate on powerheads who are amazing with power, why not suggest that they learn how to dance? Cause guess what... a lot really want nothing more than to rock a beat and fly in the air.

Third: the reason why bboys aren't getting paid is because bboys are dumb as hell. The majority of the bboys who come on here trying to "preach" don't even have a middle-school level grasp of the English language (grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc...). If you want to be professional, learn how to communicate effectively and properly. Once you have that down, THEN you can start trying to change the bboyworld as a whole. But I suggest you take a lighter route other than just blatantly calling bboys gymnasts. Cause really, all you are doing is dividing the bboyworld further.
