The fact of the matter is that Rock music/culture was started, originated, and was pioneered by "African Americans" and now it's so heavily infiltrated by the mainstream that it's affiliated with being "white". Do you feel that the same will happen with Hip-Hop? Sure race shouldn't matter. But after seeing first hand what "race shouldn't matter" has done to the culture that black people started which is Rock culture. Do you think that we as black people need to start representing our culture Hip-Hip/B-boyin even Rock music to a greater extent?
Educate me. Since you know what's really good. That's the problem with people, you want someone to know something but are scared to pass the knowledge down. My homework is the radio, I hear LMFAO, Nicki minaj , and niggas talking about popping bottles on the radio all day, that's not club music? I know the difference between what's fake and what's not. I know more history than you think. Tighten that shit up before you come at someone. I could tell you what's really good in 8 words.

J. Cole, Common, Kanye West, Drake, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross, Jay-Z are strong forces in mainstream hiphop, even 50 Cent is back on that real shit, dropping free mixtapes.
Eminem signed Slaughterhouse, that's Royce da 5'9, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Joe Budden on a huge label, and they are going hard, not selling out.
Kendrick Lamar and Big K.R.I.T. are getting bigger and bigger in the mainstream.
Rick Ross had Styles P, Jadakiss, Eryka Baduh on his last album + his albums are usually filled with soulful production.
Wayne had Tech N9ne, Nas and Andre 3000 on his album.

That's good that all of those artists you mentioned are getting airplay, but I'm looking at the billboard homie, half of that shit is filled with candy rappers. Drake? Really? Come on. Slaughterhouse is dope, they are just now starting to get more airplay aside from Em. Rick ross never has soulful productions, although I love erykah. I've heard most of the songs you are talking about. Nas killed that shit, on lil waynes track but I'm still talking about radio what I hear on the radio. I stand by my statement "mainstream rap is pretty much club music" Wale, J. Cole, Kanye , and Jay Z are the only people who earned their place right now(I do like niggas in paris, and some of Wale's tracks). I will go far enough to say maybe 1/8 songs on the radio isn't trash. I will agree with you though, BET is definitely making a comeback with the cypher during the hip hop awards. It's been like that for a while. All they need is some bboys lol.
I forgot to add "I do - Young Jeezy" is sooo dope.

Songs like Maybach Music (pt I and III), Tears of Joy, Valley of Death, Cigar Music, Free Mason etc. are soulful as hell.
And we weren't talking about radio in specific but mainstream in general.
And it's finally going in a good direction.
You can hate on Drake but his album was loaded with shit from the heart.
Tears of joy, is only good because of ceelo. His rhymes are soo candy. What the fuck do you listen to if you think rick ross is soulful? Headlines, was not that bad but it was the same old shit. I can feel what he was saying but it just wasn't enough substance for me . You get a thumbs down, for you musical tastes.
Soulful:
