I was into into capoeira quite heavily for a couple of years around the same time I got into bboying.
In my experience, I kept my bboying and capoeira seperate rather than letting one influence the other. However it always seemed that my capoeira friends would tease me for having a bboy style, and bboy friends would tease me for having a capoeira style! I guess it really is subconscious.
Another funny thing I've noticed is that a lot of capoeiristas boldly claim that capoeira directly influenced bboying, whereas bboys will boldy deny this.
As far as I'm concerned, with the dawn of the internet and all, there is undeniably an influence in modern bboying, whereas back in the day, the influence would have been subtle to non-existant at all.
I guess when you have two dances that involve floor movements, it would be impossible not to find great similarities.
On a side note, just want to back up keebla in bigging up Cobra Mansa! I was lucky enough to have a class with him once and he is full-on angola OG! haha
peace

i'm somewhat Capoeira influenced. but not much because it's hard to mesh the two together, na mean?

I trained in Capoeira Regional, and a little Angola but my Mestre felt more comfortable teaching us Regional = P

I really want to train in Miudinho's style capoeira, i can get creative with that shit.
