Images are a good idea. However, I wouldn't put so much content in one place. I like that there is a front-page, but more than half of it will go stale in a few days. It's the designers job to organize the content, keep it fresh. It's crowded and chaotic, also too wide past the page fold - 1024 is still a good width.

It looks cool, but why dont the main links work, or have no content, ie. sales, about, links?

the thumbnails are a good idea, but as a frontpage its too busy for the eyes.
