I've had it with Alien Ness

I'm sure everyone's seen his latest interview...
I urge people to actually look up footage of alien ness and the old school breakers from rock steady and etc. Are they really rocking every beat like no tomorrow? I sure as hell saw that they were just as into doing faster mills and longer spins. Furthermore, would the bboy scene be what it is today if everyone still did the same shit?
Alien Ness embodies the quintessence of a narcissist... he thinks everyone should look like him, and when people have improved, he simply says that they are no longer Bboying. Isn't individualism a big part of Bboying?
It also doesn't help that he accuses everyone of biting off him.

Here's a word of advice: a little humility goes a long way.
I would call you out when I see you in person, but I know how you love to preach during a battle.

if you are refering to the mighty 4 interview that was posted 3 weeks ago, ill have to disagree to a certain point with your opinion- i dont think that ness tried to say when he was refering to the "you have to go to the bronx in order to understand the game" that everyone should look like him... I think you got that wrong... he is talking about understanding how the bboying started out, why it got formed like that as is it is, why battle is one of the main aspects... ness is putting some really really dope info on the table in this interview... i am not saying that i agree with him 100 pro but he still has a lot of information that is indisputable... for example: I dont want to even come close to look like a bboy from bronx, I like just the way that I am and that I dance, but in order to get the whole picture, you have to study the origins...

I don't want to side with anybody, but I'm pretty sure Ness doesn't want everybody else to look like him. I think a lot of bboys who have been in the game for a long time really try to push foundation on everybody because they place very high value on it. This can come off as "dance like me. do everything like i do" But I really don't think that's what they're saying.

Every dance/art/sport has it's foundations, it's roots. You're required not only to learn these, but build yourself up on these foundations. This should be the most important element in bboying. I think Ness and other OG's are just trying to make sure bboys don't go the wrong way.







You can see how Freeze constantly expresses the importance of bringing your own flavor to the table.

Yo i think you got what Ness is saying twisted. Most of the time he means well. Even though maybe most dont like how he delivers his message. Really listen to what hes saying and maybe you will hear where he is coming from. Never shut somebody out for what they have to say, even if you dont like them. They could have some great points. Relax, and keep an open mind. Ness is def doing a lot for the game. Even if you like it or not. That is what makes Ness, Ness!! We all must recognize that. In no way am i attacking you my brotha.
