TEKNYC
One week ago, he came to the Prague ( Czech Republic ) wake up jam vol.5...how many ppl really know that some Czech republic really exist? - please reply )
I have traveled for his workshop for about 4hours(cause I am not from a Prague).
Anyways I think that was a first workshop by someone from a Different country in a Czech.
For me, that was really dope experience, he gave me so much positive energy to dancing and dropped some dope knowledge.
We need more workshops with ppl like him, cause the level of bboying in our coutry is bad I think, so many ppl don't know nothing about history. And that's bad I think.
I was leaving his workshop with a pretty good feelings. After then I went to practice and I wasn't never out of energy.
He takes my mind to the next level.
I wanna really thanks you Teknyc, peace and love man. I hope we will see each other again.

I have a dream... and I wanna make it real.
when I started breaking in 03 when i was living in korea
Daejin- he was the dude that taught me powermoves in my hometown. Without him I wouldnt even be breaking now.
06 when I moved to Australia
Freshsox crew! these dudes definately opened my eyes.
Lamaroc ( Freshsox/zulu) Lama is my biggest influence till now .Real blessing to be able to dance with him and Learn and vibe with him.
Just watching him dance really made me wanna dance and keep searchin for knowledge. He set alot of guidelines for my dance. He introduced me properly to this dance and how to develop my style through this artform. He taught me other dances like party steps and funk styles which helped me alot with my dance and Bboying. Just watching him and hearing him speak made me understand this artform a whole lot better. Not just me he inspired alot of peeps around Australia
and the biggest influence as a dancer in the Australian scene.
Kings Only my boys
These guys are the peeps that shaped my life the most. Learnt what a real crew is..a true fam!
Just jamming everyweek together on the streets for more than 4years , sharing knowledge , taking care of each other, staying tight!
alot of bboys came and went but the members that still hold it down they do and mad luv for that.
Tofurok (KingsOnly)
Hes the brother in the crew that taught me how to listen and just move to the music. We shared alot of knowledge and he was one of those dudes that made me love music even more. Teaching each other and vibing with each other made us develop ourselves and our styles.
PoeOne!(Style Elements/Mzk/Rocksofresh)
I listened carefully to what he said in his workshops..Meeting him and getting down with him in the same circle was a great blessing for me.
What he said inspired me to further my art and also it made me understand who I am better.
JuseBoogy(Massive Monkees)
Always loved the way he breaked. When he came down to Australia I did his workshop and it helped me understand how to train alot better.
Lee Fresh
Burncity represent. She doesnt break but as a hiphoper and a lover for music she inspired me to love music so much more.
All the deep chats about hiphop made me realise how important the culture is.
Rusty shrimp and Jay boogie (Burncityapes)
When my boys went for a trip for 2 months had the maddest raw jams everyday for 2months with these dudes.
Just jammin on my block with these guys for 2months on concrete made me understand bboying more and let loose !!haha
2touch (Flgz/ 36 chambers) having a deep chat with this guy was mad inspiring.
Mauritzio
Never met him in person..but his tape fuked my mind..haha
So much style and energy..! Influenced me alot to develop a powerful style.
RSC
Just searching early footage of these guys made me understand the dance alot better..
The styles they had the characteristics of each bboy made me understand what bboying is about.
Alieness
Never met him in person but im sure i will shortly in the future
watching him and reading his book helped me understand battling and style alot better..!
There are so many people that helped me but probably these are the main ones that taught me!
Big shout outs to all the peeps that have shown me or taught me something in the past..
First teachers were Bgirl Smoothie
and Bboy Very1
around 2002
The scene in seattle inspired me alot while living in Vancouver. DanceBroomz, Fraggle Rock, Massive Monkees, Battle Reflexes!
In the last 2 years. RoryRocket, RazzyD, Nathan, Blink, Fingaz from my crew helped refine my style.
Wicket has always taught me at every chance he could, in or out of workshops just kicking it, he's also offered us great opportunities, and has been a great host and taken care of my crew. Much respect goes to him!
Kid David(renegades), FrostFlow(ground illusions), Jeromeskee(MM), CrazySmooth(CFM, breakscru), Bounce(zulu Kingz), Poe1(Style Elements/Mzk/Rocksofresh), Ynot(Rocksteady), Profowon(FloorGangz), all come to mind on workshops that really helped my mentality, and really impacted the way i perceive and partake in this dance in a positive way.
guys like Alien Ness who i've met only momentarily, but broadened my knowledge by offering a window into their minds through text. Be it books or online.
There's probably ALOT more that I missed, but I'll always find a way to give my respects one way or another.

Well, I've been saying this for awhile now! In 1976 as a kid I learned how to electric boogie from my mom, learned Capoeira from my Uncle CL R.I.P. then Frosty Freeze also R.I.P. my original teacher, mentor for Bboying 1977-79, ran into him after doing a Kung fu class at Westchester Bronx YMCA. The 80's House dancing came next, my own moves, flavor called Peculating made with a friend of mine called Sham rock South side Chicago. Went to the military in San Diego, before I was shipped off to Japan in 88, same year I went up to the Bay Area, by chance meet Boppin Andre and Flat Top they taught me their style of Popping, Boppin. Meet Demons of the Mind and they showed me more but, they basically help me extend what I knew from my mom's which I'll always appreciate the time they took to help me. At Osaka Bay Side Jenny ( which doesn't exist anymore, but all Japan Dance Delight contest were held there, like an all styles battle BOTY for Japan only) I learned how to Lock from CO-IN Lockers they are 1st generation crew in Japan of Lockers. 1990 I learned how to do flares in Saesbo, Japan from Mr. Sato 4 x Olympic gold medalist at the Mexico City games. My arms were so dead, I couldn't pick up my chop sticks. He taught me for free, all I had to do was teach Bboying at the gym, fair trade. Poe One helped refresh my skills as a Bboy acouple years ago in West Covina, CA. Last but not lease I consider my teachers, mentors about history and things I didn't experience because they were before my time, or I didn't get the privilege to learn in debt from these gentlemen because my youth was hard from moving around to much and trying to survive is Joe Sepulveda, Trac 2, Aby, Trace 2, Don Tony, Speedy, Icey Ice, also Ness in a way from afar. Now, let's do them justice, all our teachers and return the favor! Peace!!!

We taught each other - friends of friends and crew
Learned a lot at the roller rink around 1975 -76 in terms of moving to the beat and being funky and acrobatics -learned Bboying the hard way - short shitty vhs clips and just doing shit over and over until we figured it out.
We taught each other -so props to my original Crew
Kid Quick, Tricky T , Beat Street, Dexter, Coach, IceTeak, (Canadian Floor Masters)
we were inspired by NYCB - and learned some things here and there from Pexter, fliprock, Mr Wave etc when we got to hang. Also inspired by RSC, Dynamic Rockers, etc
Inspired by Flashdance, wildstyle, Delivery boys, Stylewars, etc
I also want to give direct props to London's early "Live to Break" crew - learned a lot from practices in the UK in 1985 and jams in Brixton, Freesyle 85 etc
Props to lots of young cats over the years who also inspired me -Frost, Crazy Smooth, Gizmo, Benzo, Glizzi, DKC Freeze, Dazl, Pieces, Handlz, Raul, etc. You peeps help keep the fire in my belly !
I've been fortunate enough to meet some dope people, the best way for me to list them is by era of my own progression in the artform. A lifetime of gratitude goes to the following:
Mystic J Centripetal Force
This guy started me off. I wasn't able to find anyone to teach me how to bboy for years. J would come out on BART from SF to the east bay just to teach me how to break. He was an oversized guy (tall/overweight) which made learning from him even more ironic when people said I was too tall to bboy. He taught me the basic stab and windmills.
Unji Rockforce 2nd Generation
Showed me that no matter how tired you are, you battle at the end of practice. I'd listen to his old battle stories for hours. Definite influence in me battling. He also showed me the chair freeze. My-D/Enemy EgoSmashers / Soul Control
I learned a whole new motivation for bboyin from Enemy. I went from practicing an hour a day to 4-5 hours a day after working with him. Megaman Soul Control
Taught me one of the most important parts of the dance, toprocking. I literally asked him, "how do you do that? How do you step to the snare drum??" He also helped me learn combinations with the little power moves I did have. Charles Climax / Soul Control
Inspired me to not hold back and whip my long legs. A big inspiration for helping me get my flares and elbow flare. Woody DC5 (Portland)
This dood was a big influence in learning that there are other styles outside of California. Taught me that footwork is an art itself and it has many layers to it.
Paulskee Rockforce 2nd/3rd Generation
If it wasn't for this cat I wouldn't of understand the actual steps to footwork. I kind of made up my own thing and mixed it with the basic 6 step. Skee showed me 3 step, 4 step and to rock CC's on both sides. Vietnam Rockforce 3rd Generation / Killafornia
Nam was the next to really show me the battle game after Unji. He showed me how to space your moves and play my cards right. He also taught me the importance of transitioning from move to move was. WesKravin Full Force
Another outside of cali influence for me. Wes showed me that styles are endless and back then they were somewhat regional. I already was doing threads but to learn the "vegas" style (that's what it was called back then) helped me mesh what I learned from paulskee, woody and my threads all together. Ronnie boy Full Force
First time I stayed with this guy, I stayed at his spot for a week. We battled everyday and for madd long. Ronnie showed me that being ready go for mad rounds and conditioning is important. Ronnie also showed me the importance of mixing your power/style.
"The education of a man is never completed until he dies." - Robert E Lee
On that note....a few folks I have met and I'd like to learn from....
Poe1
NoelRockswell
Stunts
Thx to everyone contributing, this is a fresh thread and it's really dope to read everyone's tree and who we've mutually all met/learned from.
In the begninning i didnt have a teacher, but as I grew and really started appreciating the culture i seeked them out.
Matt (UDC - DC) Taught me to slow down my style and really listen to the music. I was only a year into this dance but he taught me the most important aspect of it, to be at one with the music and apply what I know to it.
Chad Money (Repstyles - PA) At jams i would always run into this guy and he always helped me with any and everything he could. A real inspiration and till this day I always look towards Rep with so much respect because of him. Taught me how to properly perform flares and most basic power.
Doom (ATD - VA) Taught me, in a nut shell, how to freestyle properly and how it can lead to new concepts and moves naturally. It is one of the things I still apply to my training till this day and have yet to have a full, complete set because of it. I mostly freestyle and put premade "comas" into my flow.
Full Clip (N. Squad - S. Korea) and Saw (R-Funkist - S. Korea)
Because of these guys I have found my style. They have taught me power transistions, freezes, abstract stacks, go down diversity, and so much i cant even put into words. I learn from these guys every time I watch them dance.
And of course my crew DMD, R Funkist, and NSquad as well as my first crew (now disbanded) Down Beat Rebelz. They are the closest thing to a family I have outside of my blood and I owe all my maturing in this dance to them. As well as all the ones before me who laid down the ground work for this amazing dance. Even though you havent influenced me directly like these guys, they hold an equal share in my development.

"...Just cool it guys and drop the attitudes. I wasn't at trick but I have friends that flew out to the event. All I can say is this type of stuff is happening all over the bboy scene and we need to just respect the floor, the crowd, the promoters and our rivals. Be passionate about the dance and leave the violence to the street life."
Kwon fofor giving me the motivation and drills to stay sharp and fresh.shakey shake, fast break, break easy, frosty freeze (rip) were all ones who i enjoyed building with them and learn so many different styles.king uprock also for introducing me to the rockdance and making me a member of the dynastyrockers.chris smith for takn me to my first bboy jam out of town lol.the ogs frm my hood from my hood that told me 2 keep bboying even tho the rest of the block is bangn.you too ness lol you showed me a few things like how to have battle tatics and stratageys im nt a hater i give props when its do
