turning 33 this spring.
Insanity is my favorite due to no equipment & improves my fast twitch muscles / speed alot.
But Asylum is super dope as well, i love the jumping rope & ladder drills (crazy hard).
On average, I run in the mornings 4-5 miles (so about 30-40 minutes) and stretch.
Then, afternoons do one of the hour long DVDS -- sometimes lift also, I basically do two things a day everyday. Right now I train 80-90% cross training and 10-20% dancing.
When I first started breaking, we would just jump in there and dance all the time as much as we could. But, after several injuries, etc.... it's alot more about the cross training & then WHEN i dance -- i hit it hard & really focus on what i'm doing -- cleaning stuff up, pushing hard, going all out.
I think younger bboys just go for it, cuz their bodies can handle that. What I learned from Flomaster, is that it's all about conditioning & training outside of practice -- that's what builds longevity. And I'm trying to keep dancing for a long time.
peace & respect,
dave
