straight up soulful scientist! listen to ways, y'all, cuz he knows what i been knowing when i lived in the dot. it ain't drugs that did that to him. megus is a genius, a prodigy ahead of his time, and sometimes that comes with a price. don't rag on me, cuz there are studies to prove it. think of van gogh(or look him up if you don't know). at least megus ain't missing an ear! let the man be, and let his legacy live.
Alright. I didn't mean to start a riot, so I'm gonna make a couple of comments, one a bit more important than the other. First, I didn't mean to accuse the man of taking hard drugs or whatever. I just got a kick out of the word he used, inspirated. That coupled with the way he talked at the camera made me think "pot head", I'm not going to lie. I have enough friends who smoke it every day to know how it tends to slow down the cognitive process over time. It was an observation and, to an extent, a serious concern and hope. I sincerely HOPED that drugs, in any form, didn't do away with someone so talented. But moving on...

Yeah, yeah, but you know, maybe not all of the 150 000 kids on Bboyworld has to know that? Show the man some respect, eh ?
Tell me you're kidding. If there is an ounce of truth to the allegations that some "stuff" he took GAVE this man schizophrenia, a permanent side-effect of his choice(s), then why in the hell wouldn't you want to let 150,000 KIDS on bboyworld know, "Hey, that shit might seem cool at first, and it might seem to elevate your skills and level of thinking, but here's what could happen in the end! You could get schizophrenia, it's win-win!! ...Right?" I'm not sure what your line of work is, but if you have the paper and power to prescribe drugs, then I'm amazed you're not more interested in promoting information that could help people stay off drugs to begin with. Oh, but wait. Then you'd be out some money. My bad, I forgot.
Whatever. I don't contest this man's genius on the dance floor. His talent as a bboy. I certainly agree with whoever said he was ahead of his time. No doubt. IF, IF, IF some kind of drug led to any sort of mental condition or end of his dancing career, then fuck yea, I would feel bad for him, and I would hate to see anyone follow in his footsteps. He's got legendary status already, no one is taking that away from him. But if there's an opportunity to learn from some mistakes in his PERSONAL life, then why not take it. Because I for one never knew he did any drugs at all, I just kind of ... figured. Then you all elaborated. I'm actually kind of glad it got brought up, because now maybe 150,000 kids will think twice. Blind leading the blind sometimes, I swear. PEACE.
Evasive 1,
Perhaps I need to further explain what I meant by saying that. Iīm not in a position of prescribing drugs. I am handing them to patients at a closed facility and their drugs/meds are prescribed by a doctor. I have no say in the medical treatment of these people, BUT I have to report if I can see a diference or not from the treatment.
That being said, I just felt that streetmonk made an intrusion into Megasīprivate life by saying that he (Megas) eventually took some stuff to get schizophrenia.Think about it, if you are a public figure /has some recognition, in a certain scene or business, you probably wouldnīt like it if everybody in that scene or business was told about stupid things you may had done in the past that you really regret.
If everyoen in the bboy scene knew who you were and some1 started writing on these forums, "Hey I heard Evasive 1 used to do this, do that blabla...." Wouldnīt that annoy you ? And plus, I think kids can learn that drugs are bad without reading bboyworld .. Streetmonk has made it clear that he meant no harm by writing what he did, and thatīs cool, Iīm sure he did not. But I just thought it was a liīl careless, is all ..

someone slipped him the 'kool aid'!!!
whatever... have vengeance clear the air - most of this talk is hearsay..
he just got schizophrenia from getting it....that guy was a genius and a TORONTO BBOY ORIGINATOR....i firmly believe he was so good his brain just exploded....no lie.........people dont get schizo just from doing a drug once or twice....if thats the case the number of people with the sickness would be massive....anyone can get it anytime, even now while ur reading this! enough talk about the sickness....if anything talk about how sick his breaking is.....and no diss to andel (dont know why his name is in this thread even???) but he has no idea (if thats who u heard it from)....ive known him since before he was sick, during and now, so im positive shit is how it is
No drug in the world can give you schizophrenia, although messing with your brain chemistry can exacerbate it if it is inside you - which is all hearsay in Megas' case besides smoking weed (if you want to use his life as a PSA to deter young kids from smoking marijuana then you are lame in the biblical sense of the term). Young black males are statistically one of the most susceptible demographics for the disease. All the drug rumors and "Megas became a crackhead" talk stems from when he was first acting out strangely undiagnosed for years and people had to put a label like that on it to comprehend. Watch the clip, be inspired, go practice.
