Really!?! They didn't know!?! I find that difficult to believe...I did some more "research" and found the guy who wrote this apology: D-Trix also bit off another move by Project Korea from the same competition back in 2002. Just a coincidence??? Biting 2 moves from the same BBoy Competition??? Highly unlikely...see for yourselves (more comments below): The proof is in the pudding...
Original Project Korea Move Flare with a Chair (2002, mind you this is from the same competition they copied the Upside Down Man):
Dominic "D-Trix" Solo performance for SYTYCD:
I like QUEST, but now I'm not sure how much more I can take with the Biting and Seeming Lies...I think they are respectively dope, but artistically they are straight up biting. Moves are moves, I get that and people will always copy moves and moves will evolve, but these are Artistic choices (props integrated with moves) that are clearly copied and then to say that you didn't and you do it 2x. Fool me once and I can forgive you, Fool me twice and I'm the idiot. To me that is not growth to a culture, that is stealing creativity...my opinion alone, am open to hearing you all...

Your logic here makes no sense, and that video is no proof. Last time i checked, the chair flares and upside down man were in two separate videos even if they were from the same competition. Two separate videos means that it's very possible, and not highly unlikely as you claim, to have seen one and not the other. Dtrix may have seen the chair flares one and not the upside down man one. So unless he was at the competition itself, and this can be claimed as highly unlikely, you can't really say that seeing one will definitely lead to the other. Faulty logic to both claims of lying. And if you did your "research" you would have known dtrix credited the move when he first did it, making it unlikely he would start lying now. People need to stop accusing quest without any reliable proof
I really doubt that NO ONE on quest crew ever saw that clip. I mean steve terada/sick step is never to be found at an actual jam/battling/cyphering, they must be checking out online clips to get new shit/inspiration. Heck the one who posted this up is D-Trix and people actually respect him for a bboy. I am sure if Steve Terada came up posting this apology no one would give him two rats ass and call him a hardcore biter. To those who are saying they dont need to apology, if that was the case this wouldnt be such a debated arguement. They must have gotten some heat in real life to post up an apology, but you cant just straight up hate quest crew for what they did. To not forgive is just ignorant and pretty much saying you NEVER bit/got inspiration off of someone else.

i've actually seen steve terada at multiple jams in socal, and he is no longer affliated with sickstep like the other 4 or 5 that used to rep them.
Man I saw that trick on Americas funniest home videos like 15 years ago!
Yea i saw it too. It has been done before.
Dtrix as you boy and crew member I tell you man, do you! People are going to hate and call you shit when you are on top or doing something big. Welcome to my world. You didn't bite nothing. If you didn't see it done then you didn't bite it. I did elbow tip airflair in 2000-2001 at pro-am people said i was the first to do them, even in C.T when i practiced with problemz crew they saw me doing them in 03 ask trinity and Nteg.but then i heard about the other Omar years later i asked when he did it he told me in 02. I didn't call him a biter and he didn't call me a biter when we first met and i used it against him and flow in Miami.Great minds think alike man. So don't sweat it and if anyone thinks it's biting then you are biting too if you do windmill flair 90 airflair combo or 3 step 7 step up rock driving the bus like Ken swift. Because we all do the same thing just in different ways. Dtrix use that gimmick get paid homie make that money put bboy on the map on the commercail part let them know what's up that we bboys don't only break and do air tricks we can dance too.
As for ABDC its a good show man giving bboys time to shine man. Shane Sparks is a good friend of mine and we are working on The Greatest Dancer tv show its going to be the closiest thing raw battles but remember we have to stay commercial or people won't watch. That's why you have the challanges and stuff on ABDC so it can sell and get ratings. If you don't understand how the entertainment industry works then you won't understand why they do this. I love underground hip hop but i would never listen to it in a club i want to hear what makes the girls dance. Just like i love bboying but i get tired of watching it. After a while I want to see something else. Feel me. So D just do you man no one pays your bills and no one cares what happens to you. Trust me i have expierianced it. At the end of the day the only friend you have is a doller in your pocket. So go make that real friend called Benjermin Franklin.
peace.
Flex Flav Supports you man..
