But yeah, keep searching youtube for "moves" and "stunts" you think people are biting.. You seem to be so knowledgeable in that area of expertise.
lol I didn't even say anything about the chair airflare. I don't think that's a bite. I seen plenty of people do that. Shorty Brick did it at Scribble Jam...some Korean guy did it. I thought the upside down thing is a bite though.

Do you honestly believe that he didn't know about that trick but knew about frog and the airflares in the chair? Come on. This inconsistency is obvious BS. I think it would have been fine if he came out and admitted that he copied the trick and was inpired by Project Seoul the same way he gave credit to Frog. Yet he denied it. I still think these guys are good but they are like the Carlos Mencia of dance. They use other people's moves like Carlos uses other comedians material. Lol.
EXACTLY...

but whatever. enough. not that big of a deal. props for the win. and verbal...shut up and go join their fanclub.

Dtrix gave TIP proper credit years ago. He can safely say the stunt they used was just a coincidence.

I don't see you calling JabbaWockeez out for biting expression.
i think jabba's been using the mask longer than expression

Btw, Verbal Assassin,

You told Sam Than:
"keep searching youtube for "moves" and "stunts" you think people are biting.. You seem to be so knowledgeable in that area of expertise."

Well it is obvious that your beloved members of Quest Crew are the kings of searching youtube for "new", "creative" and "original" material. LOL. What a sham.

Have you guys seen that show (I think it was VH1) where Vanilla Ice tried to explain that he didn't sample music for Ice Ice Baby? That ish was too funny. Well, let me introduce you all to the Vanilla Ice of dancing - Quest Quest Baby, Dum-dum-duh-duh-duh-dum-dum-dum Quest Quest Baby!

The backflip being pushed over 2 people,
Rivers or whoever did not invent that, Ive seen alot of people do that before, its' commonly done in gymastics and by tricksters alike my crews been doing it for quite a while as well, maybe if it was done in the same way or something but calling that a bite is kind of irrelevant imo.

everybody says somebody bit off of someone. what you people did was not actually biting. if that was the case people could say jabbawockeez bit the mask thing from expressions. nobody really said anything about that so who cares. you guys are good...keep it up.

i think you guys should enter battle of the year... they need to get a good crew like you people to represent the usa

The whole premise of this post/thread is Dtrix apologizing about the upside down gimmick. We are just responding to that. I think the fact that he put a statement out that they didn't know and pride themselves on being creative and original is inconsistent to what we have seen them perform. If they came out and said that they didn't mean to bite, and they give all the bboys props for doing the moves that they implement it would have been fine. However, they took the road of denial. That's why people have a problem with it. They had a perfect opportunity to give others credit in their statement and say how they are inspired by those bboys, but they didn't. Can you see why people have a problem with Quest based on their statements? Especially considering the fact that D-trix gave credit once before to Frog from TIP?

younger, you're an idiot, let it go. Why aren't you complaining about the hollow back Victor does and the spider?

Or, what about the back flip landing on the head moves Ryan took from the Shoalin Monks.. LOL..

Ok verbal assassin, you got me there. I now see the light. Quest is so original and creative. They would never use other bboy's signature moves or unique creations. I can also totally tell that Vanilla Ice aka Robert Van Winkle who claimed to be a ganster never sampled "Under Pressure" from David Bowie and Queen without permission. Even if he did, he shouldn't be compared to Quest Crew because they are original and creative. They would never do that. LOL.

Shit, in my opinion, this has gotten waaaaaaaay out of control... In my opinion, biting is stealing someone's ideas and personalities (exact way of movements, combos, or a real signiature move-e.g. crumbs fliping into the lotus-shaolin monk freeze)- however, if we take a closer look- the definiton that some of the bboys have posted in here- we all are biters... I mean, if are going to look only at the moves that bboys are doing, than we are all biters- we have to look deeper, we have to look at the whole picture: how they are using this move, is it exactly the same or are there modifications, did he/she apply it into his/her own style... Nowadays we have to take a look at all these factors, otherwise we can all stop breaking- because we all are biters- using the moves that some people used to do hundreds and hundreds of years ago- I think that it is not that bad if someone is using a move that has been already done- just give him/her the credit- Just a while ago a bboy said to me- hey, you've got an original style, you dont want to look exactly like bboys from bronx and from anywhere else... But I do use some moves from my friends or my teachers, that I just took over... but I did modify them and applied it into my style-that is not biting for me-oh yeah- and I do give them credit for that... But if somone does exactly the same shit in the same way and maybe also in the same routine-now that would be a bite
by the way, that is just my opinion- correct me if I am wrong
now to the quest crew-as much as I have heard and read from crumbs, there are also choreographers in the background of the show- so I am very interested if that was the quest's idea or that of the choreographers. Otherwise, I would say that they are using some of the moves that have been done but still kind of a in their own way- I did not really see that they have executed the moves in the same way as the people that have done it before

dont forget/ it is only my personal opinion and please do correct me if I am wrong...
peace
