Airflares are visually impressive, it's just a shame that because of the wow factor associatd with it that it almost became overused, in a way becoming for this generation whatwindmillls/ backspins were to the 80's -- the commercialized personification of bboying for the public at large. What I mean by that is people not fully versed in bboying culture looked at anyone who could do an airflare as being a representative for bboying, regardless whether that person could toprock, do floorwork or any of the other facets of bboying. The same reductionism of bboying with respect towindmills/ backspins nearly killed bboying. I remember guys doing it in gym class for extra credit.
I respect bboys like Toyz, Napalm, Hong 10, Physicx, who can do airflares with ease but only treat them as part of their arsenal. You might not see them bust out an airflare for weeks or months, but they're doing everything else that you expect from a bboy, number one being original and freestyling.
So yeah, seeing someone do airflares in slow-motion I guess is impressive, although it's been done to death already, but in some ways it seems so passe.
