That's funny. You think you were just stating your opinion when it's clear you wanted to sound otherwise. Straight off page 1:

You talk as if you know everything. You talk as if your "opinion" isn't just that, but it's somehow more knowledgeable and credible than other sources. Listen to yourself using words like "in fact" and "which is what people do". Damn man, you need some serious help!

Suddenly when the person you're talking about confronts you (I know, god forbid they have the internet too?!!) you back down and try to suck dick. If you're born to be a shit-talking attention whore, that's fine, but at least grow some balls and stick by the things you say so you don't look completely retarded later. Catching you lying like this is exactly why you have no credibility and no one will ever take you seriously. Would someone ban this trolling moron for good already?

i say, tie. or extreme barely scraping this one. i find foreign bboys who bring no musicality to the floor, straight power/tricks; boring. with equal energy, strong foundation is just as strong as strong power sometimes

Wow, props to both crews.

I will say this. I think a lot of people view breaking very one-dimensionally. Often these people have not been breaking enough to really be qualified enough to speak on breaking.

For instance, many people are using the word "foundation" to be interchangeable with footwork and toprock. That's not what foundation means. Having foundation means having understanding of the approach and feeling of the dance--the most basic (i.e. - foundational), core element that defines all styles of dance. I remember Poe One a while ago said something to that effect. Anyway, as he noted, it's kind of like how ballet approaches self-expression elegantly, salsa dancers and their spice, and breaking--that ghetto, funky, street shit that cats from the Bronx started in the 70's.

Foundation, simply comes down to character. To a style of approach. Understanding the approach of the dance.

Nor is foundation simply about "hitting the beats." Honestly, any trained monkey can do that. It is, however, about hitting the beats with style. For instance, many of the bboys back in the day didn't have any musicality or anything. As Alien ness once said, "musicality is a new school concept." But even then, they had sooo much flavor, character, and that whole attitude that defines a bboy. As corny and superficial as it sounds, it is all about the feeling.

So all those people knockin on meen for doing things that are "too simple," you guys don't know what the hell you're talking about. Just take a look at his set at 1:34 again. Flow, personality, character. Same with gravity. He's a freaking monster. Admittedly, they were both kinda off this battle, but who doesn't have off days? Moreover, just look at their other footage. Honestly, this battle isn't even them at 30%.

Not tryin to ride their dicks, but I'm just trying to educate people who honestly don't know anything about the dance yet still continue to voice their wack opinions without any sort of qualification whatsoever. I mean, do you go up to a physics professor writing out a theorem and tell him "this doesn't look right"? No.

neway, peace.
