Yo on the real I don't really like/ agree with this judging system, but I will say this.
For a big spectator heavy battle like R16, it makes sense. for an audience who doesn't understand this dance it's alot easier to rationalize numbers then just a judging deciding crew a or b. Take the Olympics for example, I know nothing about figure skating or gymnastics, but I guarantee you that when I see the scores I'll have some opinion and so will most people. Like "oh that seems low" or "yeah that run was definitely an 8.5" or “Russia is crazy she killed that landing” or whatever. I think showing the audience these points could help them connect to the battle more.
Also I wouldn't show cards after every round it's mad distracting and seems to take focus away from the battle energy. Judge every round, but the audience just needs that last number, and as a bboy I'd hate to see some judges searching for cards during my run.
just my 2 cents, tried to leave the hate out of this post. Props to R16 for doing big things.

I think all these new judges-systems are wack as hell.
If you hire a judge, trust the judge, dont let him be limited by only judging one aspect of the dance or whatever.
Peace

thats another problem with bboys haha, they love the "real" and the RAW bboying so much that they will instantly hate on these new judging systems.
if you want bboying to become more of a competitive sport and have bboys make money out of it then i think this can help, as stated in a previous post, this system is perfect for non-bboying audiences. If you take the time to explain to them how it works evertythings cool.
of course it aint a fucking cypher battle, stop comparing the two.
open ur mind and instead of saying its wack (In the 2 pages of the thread I prolly read "thats wack" 10 times), give advises that could IMPROVE IT
yeah I think its sketchy right now but i sure as hell like the idea.
I think this is a rly important issue bboys should talk about more cuz its about creating opportunities for bboys n bgirls everywhere
pce
ps. if u ever thought bboying should be in the olympics then nows ur time to give ur 2cents cuz thats as close as it gets to the olympic games right now

It's all semantics, it depends on how you define 'sport'. The conversation isn't even worth having. There will be bboy competitions, and therefore there must be a method to determine victory. There will never be complete agreement on the best way to do this. Accept it, and move on.
i sorta hoped Maximum to win. Time has come for Maximum to become internationally famous, but Maximum is so outta luck! 2nd place in BOTY 2009 Korea , and 2nd place again in R16 Korea Elimination while winning a lot of small events in Korea. Props to both crews!
And did anyone think Jinjo's moves look little empty without Hong10?
