Yo peeps, go watch the original video.
At first I thought the old white guy was racist but it turns out he's not. I have seen interviews and extended footage. I just wanted to explain this. The white guy was talking to his friend on the bus about his mom's funeral and that he needs to get his shoes shined. The black guy starts talking to him about the shoes. The white guy then asks the black guy if he shines shoes (because the black guy joined in the conversaiton). The black guy got all offended. The black guy shows a knife to the white guy. The white guy decides to go to the front of the bus and walk away from the confrontation. Then... the black guy follows him up there and hits him.

@ Swift Nyce - in the video the chick with the camera cut out some of the dialogue at the beginning, making the old guy look racist. My explanation went beyond what people's eyes and ears absorb.
