Need Opinions: Best Way to Start Off Youngsters?

From my experience I believe that should a kid be able to control his headspin from an early age he or she will have a better chance of catching powermoves like the windmills, haylos, babymills, flares, elbow airflares and airflares.. But by the time the kids reach a certain age all they are, when it comes to sessioning, are gymnasts.. Should I teach the kids footwork first or help them develop their powermoves and freezes? these kids are at the age of 6 to 11.. Is it easier for a kid to catch power now and learn footwork later or vice versa?

    Your opinion

Kids are going to gravitate towards what they want to learn. The dance though is essential so teaching toprocks and footwork first and a few freezes is a good start. Then when they want to delve into the other aspects help them out along the way.
